07.27.25 - Brunch(?) with The Girls

Finally comfy in bed. 

Went outside my comfort zone and went out with the girls today. It was tons of fun. We had a late brunch(1:30pm) at a place Stevie recommended. The place was basically a bar/club. Hahah, I was the only white skin tone person there in the place and group(I am the only one who has Caucasian in her blood in the group today)It was so much fun. Everyone made me feel included and literally everyone was amazing. We started dancing at our little area and the DJ called us out, in a hilarious way, and we were right in the front too, I felt out of place for a moment but the girls kept me very distracted. 

The food honestly was amazing. Stevie and Lesha both made me eat the chip and dip with them because they thought I was being shy but I was very overwhelmed because there was so much noise with the music and the beat was really good.

We left at the two hour mark like the establishment requires us to, and the DJ purposely called the group out again. We ended up at this little hole in a wall "bar" and it was freezing. Jayma said next group activity is Karaoke. Haha. Shivani said she will not sing but she'll be hyping each one of us up. Charrise voted to go bowling eventually but we are going to wait for Tasha for that. 

Honestly, they(the girls and literally everyone) was so sweet to me. No one batted an eye when I politely asked for non-alcoholic drink options. And everyone made SURE the drinks I got were what I ordered. 

I promised myself I will go out more with people up here and go out of my comfort zone.. honestly it felt freeing to not have to think and disconnect from my mind for a few hours today.

Did he cross my mind during all of this? Yes...did Jamya take my phone so I don't sit there with a sad puppy look hoping to get a message? Yes she did. But I'm not home and I am doing my best not to reach out to say hi again...I emailed last...so the conversation and connection is his ball now.
