Thanksgiving weekend

Such an intense week since Thursday. went up to Pennsylvania, met up with some people. Hung out with Sam and her parents. Tons of board games. Then went and visited Sov and Lin and their kids. Holy shit. The drive was insane. 9 hours north, 5 hours west, and then 8 hours south to get home within 3-4 days. Got back to the apartment at 3AM.

Anyways, meeting with online friends are always fun to do. We ended up playing board games. Their kids were all over me. Literally, Prim(the youngest) lint rolled me because their dogs fur was sticking to my outfit. And she insisted to sit next to me, and hold my hand and "feed me treats" as Sov would say. But truthful share snacks while we colored and did stuff. Then Lily(eldest) kept coming over and snuggling into me. Which melted my heart. Having a teenager just trustingly do that on first meeting is sweet. According to Sov and Lin, Lily is very affectionate, and when we were leaving she didn't want to let me go. Ended up giving her one of my favorite bracelets to hold onto until I come back up that way again. Even the middle child who doesn't like hugging to long kept pushing Lily out of the way to get hugs and held on as long as she could handle. Lily also made me a lily flower. Which made me ache on the inside. Because for years and years I have always loved lilies. So to get a handmade one was very touching to me. Prim also got mad at me for "not showing up for thanksgiving day". Hah. I told her that is family time which is why I showed up 2 days later.

Meeting someone you talked to online for years, and share personal stuff with and make "imaginary what if" plans with them only through chats and games is very surreal. I am always glad when I am able to cross the Internet only threshold of online only to in person. There are still many people I want to meet in person, but thankfully I was able to meet Sov and Lin and their kids sooner than we all thought. Most likely going to go up and visit more often and stay a while in Pittsburgh instead of 8 hours of being there. Hate hate hate their road system though. Got lost in the city for 15 minutes trying to go south to head back to Charlotte. Hah.

Anyways, Happy belated Thanksgiving world hope it has been kind to you.
