Friendsgiving

11.22.2025
The first Friendsgiving that I decided to partake since coming back to the State side. Usually I'd decline and apologize for not feeling up to doing something like this(DMP team had been trying since 2021 to have me join in on out of office festivities and it was rare I'd join in)

It was insanely fun. Tiny gifts from a total of 6 people(there was 10 that confirmed but 3 had things come up). I love that everyone was just happy to get something and happy to give. We ended up making a gift bag for our waitress too. She was such a sweetie who made sure our table was kept clean(she knew what we were up to) made sure we had a great area so not too many people passing by, and anything else we needed. She was so happy to get a bag, on top of everyone tipping her. Hopefully we made her day.

We were supposed to go out bowling but the places we went to were an hour and a half wait time or needed lanes by 5:30 for the Bowling League. So we ended up roaming the mall. Haha, God it was fun having female friends to store hop and make jokes with. Ended up buying some markers so I can color, as well as other stuff. We spent so long sniffing candles and looking at yarn. Hah.

We also went out drinking. The girls made sure that I was included with soda or juice/lemonade, instructed the person my drinks were to be in the shot glasses as well. Feeling included and not pressured to drink while everyone else is and still having fun. It made me think about how much fun I had with London Bridge girls as well as the foreign Filipino group I was always with in the Philippines.

Next girls day will be next month before Christmas. Crafting, eating, and watching Christmas movies while decompressing before a long work week. Already planning Galentine's gifts for the girls since I already have Christmas gifts prepared.
